Rickey Smiley visits Esserman Nissan

Comedian Rickey Smiley stopped by this afternoon for a visit. He was accompanied by WEDR's Cecil Barnhart. Chris Assmar, our General Manager, and Cecil have been friends and involved in the community together for years. We were lucky enough to be one of his stops today as he visited a couple of businesses and community locations. As a part time resident of South Florida, it is great to see him getting involved in the community. It was a great time as everyone gathered around to get to know Rickey a bit and for a few laughs.

Take Out Your Own Trash - Huge Expense Savings

As a business that has a lot of trash we were spending thousands a month on waste disposal. We decided to check into doing it in house and what a savings! We cancelled our agreement with a private waste hauler and created "Esserman Waste Services." Getting a permit with the county was probably the biggest concern. Otherwise, it was a great move. We bought a truck, everyone throws in the garbage (ladder assistance if needed) and away we drive to the dump a couple of days per week. Cash for Clunkers Passed!

Cash for Clunkers stimulus on it's way!

Congress passed the bill today to provide current car owners with up to $4500 toward the purchase of a more fuel efficient and eco friendly ride. Owners who trade in for a 10MPG improvement qualify for the complete $4500 voucher. Those opting for a vehicle with a 4MPG improvement qualify for the $3500. As a dealer, we anticipate additional traffic to the showroom. As part of the community, we are excited to see this pass as we are hoping for it to make a huge impact in the current economic and environmental status we are facing.

Now all we need is for President Obama to sign and discounts and savings are on their way!
